Scrappy Goals March Check-In

2021 Goals

January Check-In

February Check-In

*Complete 18/20 layouts from our 2018 Disney trip. No progress this month! :/

*Step up my elegant card-making game–don’t just go for easy, cute, whimsical, done! Specifically…
***2/10 Sympathy/Get Well
***1/10 Birthday
***10 Thank You
***10/100 Christmas (😱)

I only got six cards made this month! Really wondering how realistic this goal will turn out to be…

These were part of my new series on YouTube, 36 Card Pick-Up:

*Use at least 10 of my Scrapbook Generation kits. Did get one more used this month! So five more left to meet this goal.

*Improve my photo workflow and storage by working on photo management for 2 hours each month. Officially letting this one go. I didn’t think through this one well enough at all!

*Continue posting here 3x/week and on my YouTube channel 1x/week. I have managed to keep up my once weekly posting on YouTube, but slipped a little with my blogging. Will keep trying! Here are this month’s other YouTube videos:

Scrappy Goals February Check-In

*Complete 20 layouts from our 2018 Disney trip. Two down so far! Process video here. :)

*Step up my elegant card-making game–don’t just go for easy, cute, whimsical, done! Specifically…
***10 Sympathy/Get Well
***10 Birthday
***10 Thank You
***100 Christmas (😱)

I am struggling with this one! I did one birthday card, but used it immediately, and then only managed 4 Christmas cards. :/ But they were pretty!

*Use at least 10 of my Scrapbook Generation kits. Used two more this month (the Disney layout above and the one pictured below), which means I have 6 left to use to meet this goal.

*Improve my photo workflow and storage by working on photo management for 2 hours each month. Started the next photobook, but I’m not sure that I am really addressing this goal. May need to rethink.

*Continue posting here 3x/week and on my YouTube channel 1x/week. Had a couple close calls, but I think I’ve managed it again!

What goals have you set for yourself in 2021, and how are you doing?

Scrappy Goals January Check-In

*Complete 20 layouts from our 2018 Disney trip.

All right! In January this year, I scrapped my very first Disney layout. :)

*Step up my elegant card-making game–don’t just go for easy, cute, whimsical, done! Specifically…
***10 Sympathy/Get Well
***10 Birthday
***10 Thank You
***100 Christmas (😱)

I did manage to get six Christmas cards done… heh heh Better than none!

*Use at least 10 of my Scrapbook Generation kits.
I used one SG kit this past month! Altered it pretty heavily, but it got used!

*Improve my photo workflow and storage by working on photo management for 2 hours each month.

I completed our 2020 photobook for the grandparents in January. In February, I hope to start on some backlogged photobooks! The system I’d hoped to use on my laptop/cloud isn’t working the way I’d hoped, so I may end up staying with Google Photos, but we’ll see how this next project goes and decide from there.

*Continue posting here 3x/week and on my YouTube channel 1x/week.

So far, so good!

What about you? Did you make any resolutions? How are they going?

Goals, Organization & Storage, Scrapbooking

Always Re-organizing…

::shudder::

I can never seem to get my space right. And I can tell, because it looks like this:

Things aren’t easy to put away, so then I pile it up, and I don’t have a good workflow where I hold myself accountable for cleaning before creating. I shop more than I create and supplies no longer fit where they should.

My stuff has never been properly organized since we moved in the summer of 2019. I really thought I packed decently, and thought I unpacked decently, but in reality, I needed time in my new space to really figure things out. I’ve finally figured out that it’s more important for me to have a functional space that holds everything than a “pretty” one that spreads my stuff hither thither and yon, so I’m giving that a big ol’ go and we’ll see where we go from here. Because it truly never ends.

Goals

Scrappy Resolutions

Well, not resolutions so much as hopes! I know enough about myself that I make plans sometime impulsively, and the follow through is severely lacking. But here are the things I am hoping to accomplish this year. :) To keep me accountable, I’ve already set up the draft posts for a monthly check-in here!

*Complete 20 layouts from our 2018 Disney trip. I’ve begun pulling together all the photos, kits, and supplies I have, and have one layout kitted up!

*Step up my elegant card-making game–don’t just go for easy, cute, done! I’ve gone through all the SplitCoastStampers’ Tutorials I could find (96 pages worth!) and bookmarked every technique I want to try, and definitely splurged a bit on dies the past couple months! Specifically aiming to create:
***10 Sympathy/Get Well
***10 Birthday
***10 Thank You
***100 Christmas (😱)

*Use at least 10 of my Scrapbook Generation kits. I’ve got four kits’ worth of photos ordered!

*Improve my photo workflow and storage by working on photo management for 2 hours each month. I’ve been inspired by this blog post to set up folders for the whole year, and have downloaded Adobe Lightroom.

*Continue posting here 3x/week and on my YouTube channel 1x/week. Getting in the routine!
