I’m kind of secretly hoping we get a little bit of this this weekend.
I’m ready to be snowed in. To be able to hole up at home, all four of us, and just be together, with no agendas or schedules or playdates or work. This picture is about four years old–it was before we were parents, and it was just a crazy winter of foot-high snowstorm on top of foot-high snowstorm on top of another foot-high snowstorm.
I did this LO for a scraplift challenge–I scraplifted another board member, and she had scraplifted someone before that, and someone scraplifted mine, too–it all traveled in a big chain, and was all kept secret until the end of the month. Then the challenge moderator posted the beginning layout, and every subsequent layout. It is fascinating to watch what people chose to focus on in the design–what people kept, what they discarded, what came back into the design, even though they had no way of knowing it had been used previously, etc.
Used Crate Paper’s DIY Shop 6×6 paper pad. Fussycut the ruler and bunting. Added a bit of washi, sequins, bling, and distressing with my scissors. Still using up my HS ancient chipboard letters, which I love and will sorely miss when they are gone. Just a nice, clean look to that font. Jazzed up the the title a bit by substituting some Queen & Co. polkadotties for the Os and a big fat acetate snowflake for the first one in ‘snow.’ Cut down a photo box divider for the journaling card–will need to actually *journal* at some point. TFL!
