Bubby’s Brown Bear Birthday

Try saying THAT three times, fast.

Little Man turned 2 about a month ago.  I finally got the pics edited!  It was based on the book “Brown Bear, Brown Bear.”   The pics we used on the invite (above) were quintessential Bubby.  The invitation read, “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, what do you see?  I see a birthday boy, looking at me!”

We used a mix of bright colors throughout the party, and carried the theme through the food, too.  We had brown bears (chocolate teddy grahams), gold fish (uh…  gold fish.  lol.  ok, gold fish CRACKERS), and red bird punch (fruit punch).  I bought a bouquet of balloons, a handful of brown, then one of each color mentioned in the book.  For favors, each child received their choice of little brown bear (there were 4 different varieties at the store), a set of watercolor paints, and a pad of watercolor paper, since Eric Carle books are so well known because of their gorgeous painted illustrations.

We read/sang the book and learned the sign language for each color and animal.  After goodies and presents, the kids were turned loose in the park.

Happy b-day, Bubbaroo!  You are getting so grown up!!
